
A man and a woman have been charged following investigations into alleged drug supply at Canley Heights yesterday.
Just before noon yesterday Cabramatta police stopped the driver of a Toyota Corolla on Queen Street at Canley Heights.
A search of the driver and the car found drug paraphernalia, methylamphetamine, prescription drugs, capsules and a brown substance believed to be an illicit drug.
All items were secured for forensic analysis and the driver arrested and taken to Cabramatta police station.
Following further inquiries, officers searched a home on Derby Street at Canley Heights just before 4pm.
Police took two ounces of methylamphetamine, cash, several phones and other unidentified powders and liquids.
A woman, 46, was arrested at the scene and taken to Cabramatta police station.
She was later taken to Liverpool Hospital under police guard for a pre-existing medical condition.
Once released from hospital, she was charged with two counts of having a prohibited drug, two counts of running a drug premises, two counts of supplying a prohibited drug and two counts of dealing with the proceeds of crime.
The man, 56, was charged two counts of having a prohibited drug, supplying a prohibited drug and two counts of having a prescribed restricted substance.
Both were refused bail tand are due in Liverpool court today.
