Funding call: IMB Bank’s Community Foundation is now accepting applications for funding in 2018. The Liverpool PCYC is one of 50 recipients of last year’s funding. In the past 18 years, the foundation has supported eight projects to the tune of $200,000 in Liverpool. IMB Bank CEO Robert Ryan said they were always interested to hear about new projects, particularly those that need seed funding to start or projects already in operation that are looking to expand. U3A Liverpool: Liverpool University of the Third Age is for those aged over 50 and offers classes in art and craft, computers, creative writing, Euchre, French, gadgets for seniors, history, meditation, Rummikub, Tai-Chi, Yogalates, walking and more. Hearing Bus: Is stopping by Liverpool to offer free checks and raise hearing health awareness. Visitors can find information on a range of common hearing issues. No appointment necessary. The bus will be at the Southwest Disability Expo, Whitlam Leisure Centre, 90 Memorial Avenue, Liverpool from 9am-4pm on Saturday and 10am-3pm on Sunday, December 9 and 10. Christmas market: At Swiaa Village nursing home, 84-88 Restwell Road, Bossley Park on Saturday, December 9 from 11am-2pm. There will be art and craft items created by residents for sale, pizza and pampering sessions. Money raised will go towards a second bus. Details: 9426 1400 or


Polish dance: Lajkonik invites children with Polish connections, aged 5-12, to take part in Polish folk singing and dancing at All Saints Parish Hall, George Street, Liverpool, on Mondays, 6.30pm-8pm. Service reunion: The 50th Anniversary Reunion of 11th Intake of National Servicemen -  February 1968-February 2018 - will be held at  Kingscliff Bowls Club from Wednesday, February 7 to Friday, February 9. All 11th Intake plus partners and family are welcome. Overseas service is not a requirement. The format is a casual gathering on the Wednesday, a formal dinner on the Thursday and then another catch-up on the Friday. There is plenty of budget-priced accommodation close by.
