The opening of Aquatopia and Dutton Plaza at Cabramatta and the new Obstacle Course at Fairfield Adventure Park formed part of Fairfield Council’s submission for the AR Bluett Memorial Award which has been shortlisted as a finalist.
Council’s submission told the story of its initiatives and achievements including providing affordable services, establishing a new Youth Mentoring and Leadership Program and creating recreation areas.
“Council staff have worked hard to deliver these initiatives together with a wide range of other services and programs. I am therefore very proud that this work is being recognised through being a finalist for such a prestigious local government award,” Fairfield mayor Frank Carbone said.
- The winner will be announced at the LGNSW Annual Conference on December 4-6.
