Westfields Sports High School will face Hills Sports High School in a replay of last year’s NSW GIO Cup final after a clinical 33-10 win against Endeavour Sports High School in Wednesday’s semi final at Leichhardt Oval.
After conceding the first try, the 2016 champions dominated the contest and went into halftime leading 22-4.
Halfback Tommy Talau – son of former Bulldogs player Willie –orchestrated the victory behind an impressive forward pack led by Phil Makatoa and Lucas Castle who crossed for two tries.
William Kei, Matthew Doorey, Jason Saab and Talau were the other try scorers in the six try to two romp. Five eighth Jake Averillo added four goals and a late field goal.
Their opponents in the final will be Hill Sports High School who were equally impressive in their 54-18 win against St Gregorys College, Campbelltown.
Last year Westfields defeated Hills 10-6 in golden point in the NSW GIO Cup final.
