$15 million win for mystery Cabramatta resident

Powerball’s $30 million jackpot was shared among just two division one winning entries across Australia last night – one being from Cabramatta.

The winning entry was to a registered player who bought their ticket at Cabramatta East Newsagency (150 Cabramatta Road, Cabramatta).

The new Cabramatta multi-millionaire will forever remain a mystery as the winner has chosen to remain completely anonymous.

The Cabramatta winner’s 6-game PowerHit QuickPick not only won division one, but also won division two 19 times.  Other divisional prizes added another $441,560.35 to the winner’s $15 million division one windfall.

Cabramatta East Newsagency owner Thien Tran said his outlet previously sold another $15 million Powerball winning entry in February 2009.

“It’s a great win for Cabramatta!” he said. “Congratulations to the winner! I hope they enjoy their prize!”

Powerball will offer a $3 million division one prize in next week’s draw.

The winning numbers in Powerball’s $30 million draw 1100 on Thursday, June 15 2017 were 28, 38, 23, 31, 24 and 6. The Powerball number was 12.
