Students benefit from Public Education Foundation’s scholarships

Fairfield students were among those to benefit from the almost 280 scholarships awarded at the Public Education Foundation’s annual awards night.

Cabramatta, Prairiewood, Fairvale and Westfields Sports High Schools students received their scholarships at the Proudly Public! Celebrating Excellence in Public Schools’ gala event at the Sydney Town Hall earlier this month.

The scholarships aim to help recipients reach their potential by enhancing their learning and professional pathways.

Department of Education Secretary, Mark Scott said the annual awards were a great opportunity to celebrate “exceptional students and educators”.

“What's particularly remarkable is how their individual efforts combine to create the extraordinary outcomes that our public education system delivers year in, year out,” he said.
