Tennis aficiandos are celebrating the completion of new tennis courts at Club Marconi.
Two competition synthetic grass courts and three acrylic hard courts are now being used by Marconi Tennis Academy for lessons and recreation.
Marconi Tennis Academy director Stewart Whicker said the new tennis courts are very welcome upgrades.
“I’ve been here for 20 years and we’ve needed these courts for a long time,” he said.
“The club really stepped up and gave us what we need.”
The upgraded courts also include a dedicated mini hotshots court for players under 10.
Mr Whicker said the hotshots court is very popular with the youngest players.
The tennis academy has had a bumper year for enrolled students, operating near capacity with 326 students last summer.
