Suspicious death in Cabramatta

Police are appealing for information following the death of a 54-year-old Cabramatta woman this morning they say is suspicious.

Emergency services were called to a house on Alick Street at 12.20am after reports from a 23-year-old daughter who returned home to find her mother dead in the lounge room.

Acting Superintendent of Cabramatta local area command Craig Ireland said the 54-year-old had head injuries but no weapons were located at the scene.

He said the exact cause of her death will be unknown until a post mortem examination.

Investigations are expected to continue overnight and tomorrow.
