Police officer injured in car crash

A police officer has been taken to hospital following a crash in Granville.

Just before 1am (Sunday, August 24), officers from Rosehill Local Area Command were driving along Parramatta Road, responding to calls for assistance.

While turning into Church Street, the police vehicle and another car collided.

A female officer, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was taken to Westmead Hospital with a suspected broken arm.

No one else was injured.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
