Armed robbery in Wetherill Park

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery of a service station in Wetherill Park last night.

About 7pm, a man armed with a knife walked into a service station on The Horsley Drive and allegedly threatened the attendant, demanding money.

The attendant complied with the man’s demands and the man left with cash.

He was last seen running on The Horsley Drive into Bardia Place.

Police from Fairfield Local Area Command attended the site and established a crime scene.

Detectives would now like to speak with a man who they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man has been described as being of Caucasian in appearance, 165 to 175 centimetres tall, with a thin build.

He was last seen wearing a grey hooded jacket, black mask and gloves.
