Seven businesses including six from Fairfield were raided as part of an investigation into the counterfeit tobacco trade.
Police seized 500,000 sticks of illicit tobacco and about $1 million in cash during an operation yesterday.
The tobacco and cash were seized during search warrants at seven tobacconists in south-western Sydney including six in Fairfield and one in Bankstown.
Other items seized during the raids include more than 70kg of loose leaf tobacco; about 20 credit cards in various names; 164 individual deal bags of what is believed to be synthetic cannabis, and eight packets of Viagra.
The raids were undertaken as part of an ongoing investigation that commenced last year.
The investigation continues and charges are expected to be laid in the coming weeks.
