Serious assaults in Guildford

Violent assaults in Guildford put three men into hospital on Monday night.

Police were called to Kane Street following reports of an assault at about 9.15pm.

Officers found one man, 28, with a puncture wound to his face and two other men, aged 21 and 23, with less serious injuries.

All men were taken to Westmead Hospital and police established a crime scene in Kane Street.

They also interviewed several witnesses.

The two younger men are expected to be released from hospital shortly.

Police said investigations are continuing and they expect to lay charges for reckless wounding and affray.
