Taxi driver assaulted in Constitution Hill

Police are searching for a man after a taxi driver was assaulted in Constitution Hill.

Police were called to Doig Street just after 5.30pm on Sunday, July 6, where they found the driver injured.

Police said the man, aged in his 40s, was assaulted by a passenger who had asked to be driven to Constitution Hill.

The passenger then fled the scene after the assault with a woman.

A crime scene was established and an investigation is underway in an attempt to find the man.

The injured driver was taken to Westmead Hospital with serious injuries.

Police are urging anyone with information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
