Two women assaulted at Rydalmere

Police are appealing for public assistance after two women were indecently assaulted in separate incidents at Rydalmere on Sunday.

Just after 10.30am yesterday June 1, a 17-year-old girl was walking along Primrose Avenue when she was approached by a man.

Police have been told the man attempted to speak with the girl before grabbing and indecently assaulting her.

She fled to a nearby home and alerted police.

Officers from Rosehill Local Area Command attended and conducted a canvass of the area.

A 74-year-old woman told police she was indecently assaulted by the same man a short time earlier on Primrose Avenue.

An investigation into both incidents is underway and police are appealing for public assistance in an attempt to identify and locate the man involved.

He’s described as being of Mediterranean / Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his 50s and with a black beard.

He was wearing a long-sleeved white shirt and light brown pants.
