Giants risk being trapped at bottom

GREATER Western Sydney Giants need a confidence-boosting win when they play West Coast Eagles at Patersons Stadium in Perth on Sunday.

The Giants were cut down to size and lost by 35 points against Port Adelaide in Canberra on Saturday.

Port Adelaide kicked 20.12 (132) to the Giants' 15.7 (97) in round seven of the AFL.

It was the team's fourth straight loss and even though the Giants are highly competitive this season, unless they start winning soon they will be anchored near the bottom of the ladder.

- In other club news, full forward Jeremy Cameron won't play against West Coast Eagles in Perth.

Cameron copped a heavy knock to his ear in the first quarter of the round six loss to Gold Coast Suns and had surgery last week for a perforated ear drum.
