Pedestrian killed on M4 Parramatta

A pedestrian was killed on the M4 at Parramatta on Saturday night.

Emergency services were called to the M4 eastbound near the Church Street off-ramp about 7.30pm Saturday.

Police have been told a man was hit by two cars as he walked south across three lanes of the motorway.

He died at the scene.

The drivers of the two cars – a man and a woman – have been taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

Several other vehicles collided with these cars.

Police are establishing a crime scene, which will be examined by forensic officers.

A number of road closures were in place, including the M4 eastbound, from west of Church Street.
