PRITCHARD'S Hotel will play host to a family fun day this Sunday to raise money for people suffering from rare diseases.
The organisers are working towards offering something to please all visitors.
There will be a petting zoo, pony rides, jumping castles, bucking-bull rides, sport activities, live entertainment and a barbecue.
Venue manager Eric Lim said he chose to raise money for the Steve Waugh Foundation to help create awareness of the cause.
"We began this relationship last year when I ran in the City to Surf for Steve Waugh," he said.
"And I plan to continue supporting the foundation in the future."
Mr Lim said the idea to host the event came from staff member Elise Williams, who had to organise a fund-raiser for her events management course.
"I decided to put on a whole event to support the charity," he said. "This will also help Elise learn some invaluable skills.
"We hope to raise at least $5000, or even $10,000 for the charity. People can also donate by buying raffle tickets on the day."
The event will run from 10am to 6pm. The hotel is in Elizabeth Drive, Mt Pritchard.
