Arrest over recent police chase at Parramatta

A man is currently assisting police with inquiries over the alleged pursuit of a truck between Liverpool and Parramatta last week.

About 12.30pm today police attended a house in Lomani Street, Busby regarding an unrelated matter and arrested a 26-year-old Green Valley man.

He was taken to Green Valley Police Station where he is assisting police with their inquiries over the alleged pursuit on March 5, which ended in the Parramatta Westfield car park on Campbell Street.

The police chase began about 11am March 5, when police attempted to stop a stolen truck in Moorebank. The driver allegedly failed to stop and was pursued through the Moorebank and Chipping Norton area and into the shopping centre.

Investigators are still looking for a woman seen running from the truck.

The woman has been described as being about 175cm tall with a medium build, long black hair and wearing a black singlet, a cardigan, black tights, black thongs and carrying a large black handbag.
