Pop-up bar to start serving in Parramatta

Parramatta's newest pop-up initiative includes Friday night drinks.

The event, Twilight Friday Nights, will officially open on Friday, February 7 at the Erby Place precinct and includes a pop-up bar, beer and cider garden.

Parramatta mayor John Chedid congratulated Parkroyal Parramatta's Bar:30 team with the support of the council's Activate Parramatta program with coming up with the idea.

"Council is always looking for new ways to revitalise public space in the Parramatta CBD to make it more inviting, vibrant and creative," Cr Chedid said.

"I congratulate Parkroyal Parramatta on taking this initiative and doing something that will stimulate the Parramatta night time economy and attract more visitors to our city."

The pop-up bar will open every Friday throughout February and March, from 4.30pm to 9.30pm.

The green space beneath the canopy of jacaranda trees in Erby Place will be transformed into an outdoor beer garden and will come alive with music and a selection of locally produced brews.
