Items seized from Parramatta home

A .45 calibre semi-automatic pistol, ammunition, freezer bags containing a white residue, mobile phones, sim cards and cash were among items siezed at a home in Parramatta yesterday.

Detectives from the Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad searched a home apartment on Ross Street, Parramatta, about noon yesterday and arrested a man, 29.

He was charged with possess pistol, possess ammunition, dealing with the proceeds of crime, breach of parole, and driving while suspended and refused bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court today (Thursday).

Forensic tests will be carried out on the white residue and the gun tested.
