Shooting in St John's Park

Police are appealing for information following a shooting in St John's Park yesterday (Tuesday, September 10).

Shortly after 7.30pm yesterday police were called to Footscray Avenue, St John’s Park, after a number of shots were fired.

No one was injured during the incident and no property damaged. 

Officers from Fairfield Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene. A canvas of the area was also conducted and police spoke to a number of people.

Police are hoping to speak to the male driver of a white Mercedes sedan seen in the area at the time of the incident.

If a member of the public sights either the man or the vehicle, they should not approach him but contact Triple Zero immediately.
