Blast rocks tower in Mexico City

Mexico City: An explosion has rocked a high-rise containing the headquarters of Mexican oil giant Pemex in Mexico City, causing a number of injuries.

The explosion caused a number of injuries and damaged the ground floor and mezzanine of the building.

‘‘What took place was an explosion in the B2 building of the administrative centre. There are injuries and damage on the ground floor and mezzanine,’’ Pemex said on Twitter, as television showed black smoke billowing from the tower.
