Job Description
This position is an opportunity for the right candidate to professionally represent their management style to their team and other relevant stakeholders according to their business values. You will be responsible for managing the compensation and benefits function, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of payroll, maintaining fair and competitive remuneration practices within their business.
Other key responsibilities will include the following:
- Work directly with outsourced payroll provider to manage the fortnightly and monthly payrolls
- Administer all payroll changes and requests from employees
- Maintain accurate records and personnel files in alignment with the company's audit standards
- Liaise with external parties on taxation, superannuation and worker's compensation
- Manage leave accruals and provide reports to Finance and Human Resources when required
- Ensures compliance, equity and competitiveness of compensation & benefits programs
- Prepare salary & benefit survey submissions; gather, validate and organise information related to pay recommendations
- Manages the salary review process
- Monitor, update and maintain HRIS, ensure data is always accurate and kept up to date
- Support with new system implementation projects, including but not limited to data cleanse and transfer
- Manage Payroll Tax submissions
- General management reporting for budgets and special projects
The Successful Applicant
To be successful in this area you will be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively manage the payroll function as well as managing the compensation and benefits programs within the business
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in business, human resources or related discipline
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in human resources field (within this, minimum 2 year's compensation and benefits experience)
- Independent, attentive to details, highly organised and a team player with strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment legislation, superannuation, tax and other statutory requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive information
- Proactive and possess strong work ethic
- Able to deal with ambiguity, is flexible and adapts quickly to change
- Strong computer literacy
