What’s the role (and can you see yourself in the driver’s seat?!) 

As a Client Success Manager at Smartgroup, you will manage a portfolio of clients across an allocated segment, building strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the satisfaction, retention, growth, diversification and success of our valued clients. 

This role will have you:

  • Developing and implementing strategic portfolio management plans and partnering with clients to develop success measures for our programs 
  • Working closely with our Customer Education Managers to ensure a regular employee (customer) education program is in place 
  • Managing currency of client contracts in addition to compliance with key clauses and requirements 
  • Identifying potential cross-sell opportunities and supporting business development
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to develop and implement marketing and operational initiatives for clients 
  • Managing and resolving key client customer issues and completing client reviews, utilising data and client/customer insights to support analysis and recommendations

  • Someone who can advocate for customer, is a big picture thinker, collaborates, adapts, self leads and role models in how they deliver results
  • Has experience working in client service and account management 
  • Is able to effectively build and maintain sustainable relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external to our organisation
  • Can influence and negotiate well 
  • Demonstrates their experience in contract negotiation and the tender process 
  • Demonstrates authenticity and excellence in their interpersonal and presentation skills 
  • Has good written and verbal communication skills
  • Is able to work autonomously where it’s required
  • Has a Driver’s licence (it’s essential)
