Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in tech marketing, brand management, strategy consulting, agency, or related fields.
  • Experience in marketing, professional writing, brand management, research, content creation, and project management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience running large consumer campaigns working with Creative/Social, and Influencer/Media agencies in totality from strategy through to execution.
  • Experience in effectively working, engaging, and influencing across local, regional, and global stakeholders and teams.
  • Experience crafting marketing strategies utilizing both quantitative, and qualitative consumer insights, strong writing/presentation skills and creative judgment.
  • Demonstrated analytical experience applied to product marketing.
  • Ability to execute with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and prioritize.

About the job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the representation of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

Have the opportunity to work in our Consumer Applications team, focused on leading the creative strategy to celebrate and amplify the every day helpfulness of our Applications products (e.g., Search, Google Maps) with Australians.

This role works directly with regional and global Applications teams, Consumer Market Insights, Media Lab, and across the AU Marketing team focused on delivering master brand health lifts. In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Consumer Applications and working alongside the Go-To-Market Strategy lead for Applications.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the local Applications team to lead the masterbrand campaigns in partnership with the Applications Go-To-Market lead.
  • Own the execution for creative planning, including commissioning of research in order to uncover insights to inform local approach.
  • Manage relationships with regional and global stakeholders. Manage, influence, and update local, regional, and global with latest local context, insights, plans, and results.
  • Own the overarching timings, creative timings, budget, post campaign analysis, social strategy, and growth marketing.
  • Be the owner of our product story and reasons to believe. Work with agencies to translate our products and their benefit to the user.
