Your new role
This division provides policy, implementation and program delivery advice to the Government. This involves creating an environment where companies will invest in services and compete at all levels.
The branch provides advice in relation to competition in the market, security and resilience. the importance of secure and trustworthy systems is increasing. Government and business transmit increasingly large amounts of sensitive information on and across networks and facilities.
In this role you will work within a small policy team that is responsible for designing and implementing outcomes of telecommunications security review and developing legislation.
Duties will include:
Successful applicants may advise on telecommunication security risks, regulatory responses, manage consultation processes, and/or develop laws in relation to security issues.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you will need to have strong constructive thinking and writing skills, experience in implementing changes to legislation and policy, the ability to implement regulatory reform with an emphasis on stakeholder consultation, ability to get across complex subject matters, understand telecommunications security issues and design, and implement changes to improve the existing framework.
