Accounts Payable Officer

Our Client

Our client is a leading transit packaging provider with manufacturing facilities located worldwide, their products offer a safe and effective means of transporting products to customers globally. An opportunity is on offer to appoint an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to assist in all areas of the accounting department.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager the successful applicant will possess good working knowledge of appropriate accounting principles and practices along with being able to undertake the following duties:

• Process various payments via EFT or Cheques
• Match, batch and code invoices then post to the general ledger
• Undertake a high volume of data entry
• Reconciliation of vendor statements
• Process foreign currency payments
• Management of outstanding purchase orders
• Reconcile direct debit payments, petty cash and the corporate credit card expenses
• Administration duties as request

The Successful Applicant and Qualifications

The successful candidate will not only have outstanding communication and written skills but will also have a proven accounts payables background.

You will also need to possess:

• Excellent computer literacy skills
• ACCPAC |Sage experience highly desirable
• Accurate data entry skills
• Problem solving capabilities
• Enjoy being part of a finance team
