Where to volunteer on Clean Up Australia Day

Fairfield mayor Frank Carbone said Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday, March 4 was a great opportunity for people to work together to clean up local parks and creeks and help the environment.

“We all like to live in a clean city and this event is an ideal time to join in the efforts to clean up our surroundings. Everyone benefits from Clean Up Australia Day. Our community benefits from cleaner spaces, but our volunteers also benefit from the community spirit and sense of teamwork which is generated from the event,” he said.

“Schools, businesses and community groups all take great pride in their Clean Up events and this is great to see. A number of Clean Up sites are scheduled across the City so I encourage people to join in and get involved.”
