Female charged over Cabramatta robbery

On February 22, Fairfield City police detectives charged an 18-year-old female from Cabramatta with a robbery that occurred at 10pm on February 13 in a carpark off Hill Street during which the victim was assaulted and had a mobile phone taken. 

She was granted conditional bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on March 19. Investigations are continuing, with several others likely to receive a knock on the door shortly.

CCTV image released

Police have released a closed-circuit television image as they continue investigations into a theft at Canley Vale.

At 7am on Wednesday, February 7, a vehicle was broken into on Canley Vale Road, Canley Vale and some property stolen.

Fairfield City Police Area Command have released the CCTV image of a male who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

Ice located at Canley Vale

On Thursday, February 22, police stopped a male on Bareena Street, Canley Vale.  A search located an amount of methylamphetamine, commonly referred to as ice.  The 25-year-old male from Carramar was charged with possessing a prohibited drug and will appear at Liverpool Local Court on March 18.

Drink driving on a cancelled Licence

 At 1am on Wednesday, February 21, police stopped a vehicle on the Cumberland Highway at Fairfield West. The driver recorded a positive breath test.  Checks on his licence showed it had been cancelled since June 2015. The breath analysis recorded a reading of 0.180.  The 35-year-old male from Fairfield West was charged with high-range drink driving and driving while his licence cancelled He will appear at Fairfield Local Court on March 13.
