Fairfield Liverpool will resume at 4-210 after battling hard on a bowler-friendly day at Rosedale Oval on Saturday.
Sent into bat, the Lions were at one stage 4-71 before an unbroken 139-run stand between Harmon Sandhu (60 not out) and Jeremy Cashman (75 not out) allowed them to share honours after day one. For Cashman, it continues his run of good form which has seen him score 293 runs at an average of 48 in the past seven games.
The Lions will be looking to force a result and end the NSW Premier Cricket season on a high with only one round remaining after Saturday.
They currently sit in 14th place on 30 points with a game against Hawkesbury to come. Two wins could see them finish as high as ninth.
