A 224-run partnership between Ryan Gibson (120) and Cameron Weir (142) powered Penrith to a three-wicket win against Fairfield Liverpool on Saturday.

Chasing 352, the visitors lost two early wickets before Gibson and Weir took control to secure only their second win of the season.

The Sandhu brothers combined for six of the seven wickets taken with Harmon (2-48) striking early in his first spell and Gurinder – fresh off an impressive Big Bash League campaign– taking 4-61.

After scoring 149 the week before, English spinner Matt Critchley posted an unwanted century this week returning the figures of 0-113 off 22 overs.

The loss leaves the Lions in 14th place with four rounds remaining.
