Work has been brought forward in preparation for a “like for like” Meccano Set structure to be built early next year.
Roads and Maritime Services is advising motorists it will carry out ground and utility investigations including potholing to help locate underground utilities on the Hume Highway at the intersection of Henry Lawson Drive and Woodville Road.
Work was expected to continue in February but has been brought forward in preparation for replacement of the traffic lights structure early next year.
To minimise the impact to motorists, work will be carried out across 20 shifts from 9pm to 5am between Monday, December 11 and Sunday, March 4 (weather permitting).
There will be no work between Friday, December 22 and Sunday, January 7 and noisier activities will completed by midnight.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the direction of signs and traffic control with changed traffic conditionsin place while work is carried out.
