SATURDAY

Remembrance Day: Smithfield RSL will mark this year’s Remembrance Day with a special march to be led from Smithfield RSL Club, followed by a ceremony held at McCarthy Memorial Park on Saturday, November from 11am. Smithfield RSL operations manager Michael Bramman said it was important for the community to take this time to reflect on the sacrifice that so many soldiers have made for our country. In the case of rain the service will be held in the Orion Room at Smithfield RSL. For further details phone 9604 4411.

Short film workshop: Hands-on experience in film-making, acting, photography, producing and more in a one-day workshop for ages 8-16 at Fairfield City Museum and Gallery, 634 The Horsley Drive, Smithfield from 9.30am-4.30pm on Saturday, November 11. Service reunion: The 50th Anniversary Reunion of 11th Intake of National Servicemen -  February 1968-February 2018 - will be held at  Kingscliff Bowls Club from Wednesday, February 7 to Friday, February 9. All 11th Intake plus partners and family are welcome. Overseas service is not a requirement.
