A new partnership has secured a brighter future for Police Citizens Youth Clubs (PCYC).
The non-profit organisation and Police Bank marked the milestone on Thursday, October 5 at the Parramatta facility.
The sponsorship will see an on-going investment from the financial institution.
PCYC chief executive officer Dominic Teakle said it was a “really important partnership for us”.
“Equally it makes sense because it’s a police bank and we are keeping it in the family. It is primarily about running programs for youth and opening up doors for community programs,” Mr Teakle said.
“It helps us with our blue star leadership program and equally looking at police programs targeted for youths.”
The charity organisation focuses on improving the lives of youth people across the state through a range of sporting and recreational activitiies.
Since it was established in 1937 by Police Commissioner William John MacKay and now has 64 locations across NSW.
Police Bank chief executive officer Tony Taylor said the organisation was very excited to be sponsoring the not-profit organisation.
“It’s our biggest sponsorship ever and we will be continuing it going forward,” Mr Taylor said.
“It’s been really great. I’ve had such fun working with the staff and people at PCYC.”
