“We want the successful tutor to deliver a fun and structured program which will develop the students’ drawing, painting and other creative skills," Mayor Frank Carbone.

Fairfield City Museum & Gallery is on the hunt for an art tutor to deliver art classes for children ages 6 to 12 on Saturday mornings during term four starting on October 21.

The applicant is required to provide classes of approximately 90 minutes in length in drawing, painting and other creative skills.

Fairfield mayor Frank Carbone said the art classes were important for children’s growth and to “foster the creative skills” of young people.

“Art is a fundamental part of society in that it is a creative outlet for people from all walks of life and can lead to a plethora of great opportunities through the development of creative and, in the case of a class, their social skills,” mayor Carbone said.

“Fairfield City Museum & Gallery’s mission is to foster the creative skills of the Fairfield City community, while also celebrating our outstanding diversity.”

Interested applicants are asked to provide an eight week course outline and the contact details of two referees by Friday, October 13.
