It was a bittersweet grand final day for Mounties on Sunday. It started well with Mounties being presented their second consecutive NSWRL Club Championship courtesy of all four senior teams reaching the NSWRL Finals Series.

Despite not competing in two of the six NSWRL competitions, Mounties still claimed the Flowers Memorial Pennant with impressive finishes in the Intrust Super Premiership NSW (fifth), NSW Women’s Premiership (third), Ron Massey Cup (fourth) and Sydney Shield (first).

Despair: Mounties couldn't overcome a slow start and went down to St Marys in the Sydney Shield grand final.
