A man has been charged with attempted murder after a domestic-related stabbing in Fairfield yesterday.
Emergency services were called to a home at Polding Street just before 2pm (Thursday, August 10) and located a 53-year-old woman suffering numerous stab wounds.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the woman at the scene before taking her to Liverpool Hospital under police escort. She remains in a serious but stable condition.
A 60-year-old man, who is the victim’s husband, was arrested at the scene.
He was taken to Fairfield Police Station and charged with attempted murder and wound with intent causing grievous bodily harm.
He has been refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court today (Friday, August 11).
