A man is in a serious condition after he fell through a roof in Carlingford.
The 56-year-old was taken to hospital by ambulance after falling through the roof of the home on Wednesday, July 5.
He was knocked unconscious after falling through a carport roof about three metres onto concrete.
A CareFlight spokesperson said the rapid response rescue helicopter was called to help shortly before 4pm.
“Landing in North Rocks Park near the scene, the helicopter dispatched CareFlight's specialist doctor and critical care paramedic and police rushed them to the patient,” the spokesperson said.
Ambulance crews were also treating the man.
“CareFlight's medical crew sedated the man and intubated him (inserted a tube) to stabilise his breathing,” the spokesperson said.
“The medical crew continued treating the man as he was taken to hospital by road ambulance in a serious condition.”
