Canley Vale High School opens Trade Skills Centre

Canley Vale High School students studying a Certificate II in Construction will benefit from the school’s state-of-the-art Trades Skills Centre which was officially opened on Friday.

Funded by the Australian Government in conjunction with the Trade Training Centres in Schools Program, the Industrial Arts facility provides equipment for skills like bricklaying, carpentry, joinery and tiling.

“The facility caters for students from year seven to 12 and it is a wonderful opportunity we have been presented,” Canley Vale High School deputy principal Aaron Trumble said.

Fairfield MP Guy Zangari, Fowler MP Guy Zangari and Assistant Skills Minister Karen Andrews attended the plaque unveiling ceremony.
