There are many great friendships.
Bert and Ernie, Donald Trump and his Id, Oprah and Gayle. Now we can add Meghan Markle and Priyanka Chopra to the great mates honour roll.
Right now Chopra is on a publicity campaign to plug her new movie, Baywatch, in which she plays a couture-wearing villain, not a red swimsuit-wearing life guard.
For celebrities, especially for one of Bollywood's biggest stars like Chopra, doing PR generally involves many appearances and many interviews with over-excited talk show hosts.
In one of her most recent interviews Chopra endured 10-minutes of gushing and small talk with Wendy Williams - the American version of Kerri Anne Kennerley.
The actress, producer and former winner of the Miss World pageant, who has been working in the film industry since she was 17, answered questions about her $800 Francesco Russo shoes, whether she would move back to India and her recent appearance at the Met Gala in New York in a custom-made Ralph Lauren trench coat-style gown that boasted a six metre train.
She played along, swatting away questions about her own love life.
"Where's your date? Just asking," Williams said.
Why do you always need a date, it's so overrated. I always feel the need for not a date at the red carpet. Like 'my moment, my outfit'," Chopra said. "Strong, independent woman."
Her sunny demeanour dimmed somewhat when Williams sidled up next to her to discuss her friendship with Meghan Markle or "Prince Harry's girlfriend".
But hold it, said Chopra, cocking an eyebrow: "Also, Meghan Markle, actress...Suits... her achievements, mmm-hmm, just saying..."
"Ok, I understand that. But do you think they'll get married?" Williams asked.
"I don't know. I hope so, she seems happy. I think they look great together," Chopra said.
"They're a good couple. And I want her to take it all the way to the kingdom," Williams said.
"I hope so. No pressure. High profile relationships are so stressful anyway, so as a friend I wouldn't like to add on that at all."
Chopra confirmed she talks to Markle regularly after they "randomly met at a party" two years ago and hit it off.
"We talk. But we talk more about my stress actually than hers. She doesn't seem to have any right now," Chopra said.
Chopra pulled off the perfect interview, where she respected her friend's privacy but still gave Williams and her viewers a little Markle morsel. She ended it with a Simone Biles-esque dismount.
"Will you be a bridesmaid? Are you that close to her?" Williams continued digging.
"I don't know that... Once I get the invite, if I even get invited...", Chopra then trailed off laughing.
