Police appeal after man robbed in Pendle Hill

Police are appealing for the public’s help in relation to a robbery in Pendle Hill.

A man, 26, was walking through Civic Park when he was approached by two unknown men at about 10.15pm on Sunday, April 16.

They threatened the man before stealing cash and leaving the scene. Holroyd Police would like to speak to two men who may be able to assist.

The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of slim build, and short blond hair. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and long light-coloured trousers.

The second man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, and of slim build, with brown short hair.

Two charged in vehicle search

Two men have been charged after police seized ‘ice’, prescription drugs and knives at Merrylands.

Officers were patrolling a Merrylands Road car park at about 9pm on Sunday, April 16, when they spoke with two men standing beside a car.

Police will allege that when the car was searched they found ‘ice’, oxycodone, fentanyl as well as other prescription medication, knives and other property.

A Merrylands man, 37, was charged with six offences including supply prohibited drug, two counts of possess prohibited drug and custody of a knife in a public place.

He was refused bail after appearing in Parramatta Bail Court on Monday, April 7.

He is due to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Thursday, April 20.

A second Merrylands man, 48, has been charged with two counts of possess a prohibited drug. He was granted conditional bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday, May 5.

P-plater licence suspended

A provisional driver has had his licence suspended after he was caught speeding in Merrylands.  

The Smithfield man, 21, was detected driving 45km/hr over the speed limit on the M4 Motorway. The driver was stopped and issued an over 30km/h penalty notice which carries a fine of $872 and penalty of five demerit points. His licence was suspended on the spot for a period of three months.
