A young boy, believed to be aged between three and four, was found wandering on the Princes Highway in the Illawarra on Thursday morning.
Police are appealing for public assistance to locate the family of the boy, who was found on the highway at Albion Park Rail, near Creamery Road about 6.45am.
The boy, wearing a blue pyjama top and purple pyjama shorts, both with yacht motifs, was found by a member of the public.
He is described as being three to four-years-old. He has a tan complexion with dark brown curly hair and green/hazel eyes.
Police have not been able to communicate with the child.
