'Too much work' to fix loophole that could 'open the door to paedophiles teaching' in NSW

Temporary teachers are subject in practice to minimal background checks compared with applicants for permanent teaching roles in a dangerous loophole that could "open the door to paedophiles" teaching in public school classrooms, department sources have told Fairfax Media.
