IF you want to learn to cut it with the best in film, television and radio, this open day is for you.
The Australian Film Television and Radio School — also known as AFTRS — will hold its open day on Saturday, September 5, from 10am to 3pm.
"Open days are a great opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes, both at AFTRS and in TV, film and radio," event organiser Carolina Totterman said.
"All of the studios will be 'live' on the day, including the radio studios, TV studio and control room, the Foley sound studio and the sound mix theatre.
"It's a great day out for both future students and the general public alike — and all are welcome."
AFTRS degree courses are rigorous, demanding and internationally regarded. We are very lucky to have such a world-class higher education institution right here in Sydney.

Ms Totterman said AFTRS had been consistently rated by The Hollywood Reporter as one of best film schools in the world because of its courses, facilities and gear the school provided.
"AFTRS degree courses are rigorous, demanding and internationally regarded," she said.
"It really is an exceptional institution and we are very lucky to have such a world-class higher education institution right here in Sydney providing some of the best courses on offer anywhere in the world."
AFTRS delivers short courses, technical diplomas and advanced diplomas through to comprehensive bachelor and masters degrees.
Entry into AFTRS degree programs is very competitive and by merit selection only.
