FESTIVAL FOR PEACE
Authors from all genres are invited to register works for the Peace Works! open mike session from 3.30pm at the Canberra Festival for Peace at Albert Hall on May 2. Works must address the theme of yearning for peace in World War I. More information: peaceworks.org.au.
ACU POETRY PRIZE
Entries are now open for the Australian Catholic University Prize for Poetry, with a total prize pool of $10,000. The theme is Peace, Tolerance and Understanding. Entries close on June 16. For more information visit acu.edu.au.

COLIN THIELE
June 2: The Colin Thiele Festival will feature an exhibition at Civic Library of items from the Archives' research collection relating to Thiele's books and some items from his family. Until June 28.
June 2: At 5pm, "Colin Thiele: His Work and Legacy" at the Ann Harding Conference Centre, Building 24 at the University of Canberra will reveal insights into the Australian children's writer from publisher Walter McVitty, Thiele's daughter Janne Minge and researcher Margaret Carmody. BATEMANS BAY WRITERS FESTIVAL 2015 LAUNCHED
