Police have charged a man following a house fire in Bossley Park last month.
Emergency services were called to Stromlo Street just before midnight on Sunday, August 23 where they found a house well alight.
The fire was extinguished; however, the home sustained damage to the front.
A woman, believed to be aged in her 60s, was removed from the home by three police officers and taken to Liverpool Hospital suffering smoke inhalation.
The officers also suffered smoke inhalation and were taken to hospital for treatment.
Officers from Fairfield Local Area Command commenced an investigation into the fire.
Yesterday at 4pm, investigators arrested a 35-year-old man and took him to Fairfield Police Station.
The man was charged with damaging property by fire.
He was refused bail and will appear in Fairfield Local Court today today.
