WILLIAM Stimson Public School pupils are proving to be quite the thinkers.
The Wetherill Park-based school won two of the four divisions at the Tournament of Minds regionals recently. It has now qualified for the State Finals on September 14.
The teams, which contained pupils from year 4 to year 6, won the Maths Engineering and Applied Technology sections at the Sydney South West regionals.
The Applied Technology team had to come up with a concept for a wearable device and how it would affect society.
The Maths Engineering squad had to create a device that could distribute sugar at the same time to four different collection points out of recyclable materials.
