MOUNTIES head into the final round of the NSW Cup knowing they can finish anywhere between third and eighth, such is the closeness of the competition.

Mounties (sixth) will take on Cronulla (seventh) in the final round at Aubrey Keech Reserve on Saturday with numerous permutations possible depending on the results this weekend.

The home team will be boosted by the inclusion of Terry Campese, who made his first appearance in the black and gold in the 18-12 loss to Penrith at the weekend.

Despite a few errors, Campese, who is set to finish the year in the NSW Cup, will bring a wealth of experience to a Mounties outfit.

He will also qualify for the first week of the finals in NSW Cup only, given it coincides with the final week of the regular NRL season.

In the Ron Massey Cup, Cabramatta confirmed their finals spot with a come-from-behind 38-34 win against the Western Suburbs Magpies.

After trailing 20-8 at half-time, the Two Blues rallied to notch their 11th win of the year to cement fifth place. The Two Blues need to beat the third placed The Entrance Tigers in the final round this week to confirm a home semi-final.

Meanwhile, Grant Lahey celebrated 100 games for Mounties in their 56-16 win against cellar dwellers Burwood.

The win moved them into a three-way share of the lead heading into this week's game against Auburn.

Mounties need to win and Wentworthville to lose to claim the minor premiership.
