Police have charged a man following investigations into alleged historical child sexual offences in Canley Vale.
Detectives from Green Valley Local Area Command have been investigating allegations a girl was sexually assaulted on an ongoing basis while living at a house in Canley Vale.
Police allege the sexual assaults took place between 1999 and 2009, with the first incident occurring at a house in Canley Vale when the girl was five years old.
About 1.30pm yesterday, detectives attended a house in Ruse where they arrested a 42-year-old man.
He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station and charged with 22 offences including aggravated sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, incite act of indecency and common assault.
The man was granted conditional bail and will appear in Campbelltown Local Court on September 17.
Investigations into the matters are continuing.
