Police are appealing for public help to locate Phuoc Minh (Paul) Nguyen, who has been missing since May.

Just before 10pm on May 1, 50-year-old Phuoc Minh (Paul) Nguyen left a hotel on George Street, Sydney, to meet a business associate.

Mr Nguyen was last seen driving from the hotel in a gold-coloured Renault Latitude hire car, with the Victorian registration ZXH305.

He was expected to meet family in the hotel lobby at 10am on May 2 however, he had not returned and was reported missing to police.

Initial investigations by police from Sydney City Local Area Command indicated he may have travelled to Bankstown or Cabramatta; however, there are no confirmed sightings of him or the hire car.

Mr Nguyen is described as being Asian in appearance, 170 centimetres tall, with a medium build, black hair and brown eyes.

At the time he was last seen, he was wearing a white long-sleeved pullover and dark-coloured pants, as well as carrying a shopping bag from ‘VOI’ and a black satchel over his shoulder.

Police have concerns for Phuoc Minh (Paul) Nguyen’s welfare as he failed to return the hire car on May 6 and has not accessed his bank accounts since his disappearance.

Anyone who has seen him, or has information about his whereabouts, should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
